Nick Kail
A passionate composer who has been writing music since he was 14. As a commercial artist he has supported both David Grey and Paul Young and has written music for international film ('Race With Destiny'). He studied music at Leicester University and started writing songs and production music soon after he left. His enthusiasm for music led him to set up Your Tune Music in 2004, a company that he runs with passion and pride.

 
 
 

Crispin Merell
Young pianist of the year in 1987. Crispin recently wrote the music for Gerry Anderson's 'Captain Scarlet' and has written for countless other TV shows including 'Lavender Castle' and 'Space Precinct'. Crispin is an extremely talented composer and we are honoured to have contributions from him. His latest works will be released on "Scary Tunes" (release date 31/10/09).

Gordon Young
Gordon is Your Tune's music consultant and mastering engineer. He has worked with Crispin on 5.1 surround mixes for Captain Scarlet and also composes tracks for Your Tune ("Electronic Tunes" and "Scary Tunes").

 
 
 

Shaun Kirkpatrick
In the 80's Shaun formed UK rock outfit 'Bronz' who toured Europe and played 30,000 seater stadiums in the U.S. After a top ten single in the U.S. Rock singles charts and extensive Radio 1 airplay in the U.K. they sold over 200,000 albums worldwide. After his commercial success Shaun ran a commercial recording studio ('The Kirk') and worked with Van Morrison amongst others. He now writes and produces music for film and television from his own production company 'Disk Music'. He now contributes to many of our albums.

Tom Kincaid
Tom studied piano from the age of 5 and now plays jazz piano across the U.K. and the U.S. backing various soloists from Roy Williams and Alan Barnes to Teddy Baker and Barry Martyn. His compositional work includes films ("Judith" in 2004, "On My Way' - 2007) and several TV series. We are proud to represent Tom's compositions on "Jazz Tunes" and hope to work with him again in the future.

 

 
 
 

Steven Bayley
Steve began playing guitar aged 12. In 2003 he was signed to Polydor Records releasing two albums as composer/arranger/singer/multi-instrumentalist of critically-acclaimed band The Open. As well as writing for Your Tune and other production music companies, he also composes music for adverts (e.g. BASF, Coca Cola). Steve is also a working session musician specialising in Guitar, Bass and Keyboards.

 

 
 
 

Simon Byrne
Simon has been writing songs since 1968 and his credits include “We Got Love” by Donny and Marie Osmond and “Heart and Soul” by The Monkees. Simon has also played drums for Brotherhood of Man, The Dakotas and more recently Helen Shapiro. He co-wrote half of the songs on "80’s Tunes" with Shaun Kirkpatrick.

 

 
 
 

John Hyde
John started his career working for the De Wolfe music library as a consultant for 'Monty Python's Holy Grail' amongst other films. As examples of John's credits as a composer he has written for commercials (Marmite, Avocaat, Tampax), films (Possessions, The Falls), documentaries (British Aerospace), TV Theme Tunes (Henry's Cat) and incidental music (Nellie the Elephant, Equinox, BBC Royal Ascot). We are very pleased to have his writing skills on our album "Rock Tunes".

 
 
 

Brian Bull
An amazing acoustic guitarist who has played with both Peter Green and Dr John, Brian played fretless bass and a variety of acoustic instruments on Vocal Tunes. His most recent work includes Gypsy Jazz compositions for"Jazz Tunes" with fellow musician Charlie Wharf and he is currently writing more tracks for Jazz Tunes 2.

 
 
 

Clive Edwards
A highly-renowned rock drummer and percussionist who has worked with UFO, Wild Horses, The Pat Travers Band, Phil Lynott, Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox, John Cale, Chris Thompson and Grand Prix. In the mid-80's he played drums on Bronz's second album, tracks of which appear on "80's Tunes".

 
 
 

Jonathan Atkinson
Jonathan is an established composer of contemporary music for TV and Production Music Libraries Worldwide. TV broadcasts to date include BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and C4, C5, National Geographic Channel, UK Food, Quiz TV, Sky Travel, NBC, GMTV, Discovery UK, Discovery Europe, Discovery USA, Film 2008 with Jonathan Ross, Gardeners' World and the film "Dark Matter" starring Meryl Streep and Aiden Quinn.

 
 
 

Jeff Woodall
Jeff Woodall has been writing music for over fifteen years and has written and produced eleven albums. He has collaborated with Jonathan Atkinson and Abhijit Pohankar (a critically acclaimed international Indian artist). Jeff specializes in New Age, chill out and ambient music.

 
 
 

Charlie Wharf
An inspirational Clarinet and Soprano Saxophone player. Charlie implants his 'Free Jazz' background to the excellent Gypsy Jazz contributions from Brian Bull on "Jazz Tunes". Surely the best jazz Sax/Clarinet musician in the S.E. of England?

 
 
 

David Kail
Known for his work as a lyricist on Vocal Tunes, David has been writing lyrics, poems and books since the 1980's. Able to observe true life situations and describe them with implicit emotion, David has been compared to Dylan on many an occasion.

 
 
 

Alison Hopper
Alison started learning violin at the age of 4 and read music at Durham University. Until the early 90's she was involved exclusively in the world of classical music. Since being taken to the 1993 Cambridge Folk Festival Alison has opened her horizons and tastes and has learnt how to play by ear and to improvise. Her talents can now be enjoyed on various songs on "Vocal Tunes".

 
 
 

Angela Sinclair
Angela sings on many of the songs on Vocal Tunes. She has a beautiful blues/gospel voice and is extremely good at expressing emotion. Hopefully we will have some more songs featuring her talents on "Vocal Tunes 2".

 

 
 
 

Glyn Evans
Glyn started his career playing with The Damned and has performed and recorded his Bernie Goodfellow basses on many a project. We are delighted to hear his talents on "Vocal Tunes".

 
 
 

Stephen Williamson

Nicholas Down
Nicholas is best known for his paintings, though has been composing for many years. A chance meeting allowed us the opportunity to include some of his intense piano melodies on "Piano Tunes". Totally unique and individual.

Diana composes and performs elegant and timeless piano melodies which tap into your heart strings and demand you to either reach for your hankerchief or get up and dance.
